I could install the old driver with a hack. Here how I did it. Use this guide but with the CP driver. Works the same.
Is in German, sorry: I installed and configured the driver in a win 7 virtual machine. After that it showed up when adding a printer in OS X. Maybe it was luck, maybe it dependent on Win 7 or maybe I was not patient enough when trying to add the printer in OS X. But now it works as expected with Mountain Lion.

I posted a problem with this printer here: I'd like to know if you see this issue or not. If you could post to my thread about this issue, I would appreciate it. It works: Here it is: ProductVersion, ' After this change, the driver will install properly! The EF-M 32mm F1. Find out what's new, what it's like to use and how it compares to its peers in our review in progress.
The S1 and S1R are Panasonic's first full-frame mirrorless cameras so there's a plenty to talk about. We've taken a look at the design and features of both cameras and have some initial impressions, as well. Here's the one we recommend Aimed at sports shooters it promises improved AF, including advanced subject recognition, along with the highest-ever rated image stabilization system. If you're looking for a high-quality camera, you don't need to spend a ton of cash, nor do you need to buy the latest and greatest new product on the market.
In our latest buying guide we've selected some cameras that while they're a bit older, still offer a lot of bang for the buck. And of course I can't find such a solution for Yosemite. You can try the gutenprint drivers; I have a Canon pixma and they worked fine Thanks, will try. Nothing on Selphy printers in later release notes, so I guess this would still be true. Philotech wrote: Unfortunately, the later drivers do no longer come as multi-file package.
So the issue remains unsolved, and I am afraid I might not find a working driver for my Selphy until Canon releases a compatible Selphy or so which may not be that likely after all It's a vanilla printer and scanner!!! But they are not officially supported under Yosemite http: BuffyzDead wrote: The drivers would work perfectly fine, they just refuse to install because if a stupid version check on installation e. I have an MP which had been working great under Mavericks and also under Yosemite!
I thought it would be as simple as removing and re-adding the printer-- big mistake! I resorted to downloading Canon's IJ drivers which I think made the printer discoverable in the printer list takes a while to detect and shows as Canon IJ Network , but I have the same problem as Philotech: Additionally, OS X no longer realizes that it's a multifunction printer with scanning capabilities. Works fine with me. Christian Great! Will try tonight, sure it'll work, a thousand thanks! Which version is the Mavericks driver btw, 6. The only difference between the driver versions is probably that the later one will somewhere in the resource fork contain a "Selphy " string Indeed shame on Canon.
Can't say that loud and often enough Christian WOW!!! I actually thought this was the issue with the Canon i, where the "drivers are not signed" to work with Yosemite. After all, this printer is a "vanilla" USB printer. And the same with the scanner. I don't need to buy a new one. Thanks Laurent.
Canon Printer Driver in Yosemite (Selphy 900) won't install
Any other ideas? I'm about to just go out and buy a printer that will play nice and isn't Canon. Brucetg wrote: If you try to install something that gets blocked due to the App Store installation settings e. App Store and identified developers only , that preferences pane knows of the failed install and allows to to specificly install that single app without changing the settings in general.
So that's what I do. Leave the rather safe settings alone, try to install apps from unidentified developers nevertheless and then to the prefpane and allow that blocked install. Works like a charm. I'm not sure what you're trying to say there, Philotech, but the easiest way to install an app from an unidentified developer without changing the security settings is by simply right clicking on the app icon and then selecting the "Open" command. After confirming the dialog box, that app will open normally from then on. This thread made me check my Selphy But sadly, any attempt to print something results in an error message can't open printer, error number I removed the printer, updated the driver by using the driver package made available by ceo77, and finally re-adding the printer.
That didn't help.
